Mud Pumps
Sludge formation occurs in wastewater treatment plants from various processes such as aeration and settling tanks. This muds waste appropriate to its density and character muds is coming out. The sludge produced must be transported from one place to another to be dewatered for disposal. Mud There are also differences in the types of mud pumps to be used depending on the source, operating type and process types. The most commonly used mud types are as follows:
Mono Pump: This pump, which can be used in almost all types of sludge, is especially used in the transmission of dense primary mixed and rotted sludge.
Diaphragm Pump: It works with the principle of push and pull by cavitation.
Centrifugal Type Pump: It is one of the most common pump types used in mud conveying. It is generally used with variable speed drive equipment. The most important point to pay attention to in this pump is the selection of the pump with the appropriate capacity.
Torque Flow Pump: Also known as high speed centrifugal pumps. They are very effective in transporting mud, but their capacity is limited by suction and discharge pipes. While operating the facility, it is recommended to control it based on variable speeds. It can also be used in series for higher pressurization.
High Pressure Piston Type Pump: This pump, which can easily reach very high pressures, is used when sludge needs to be transported over long distances. It operates in a single stage. It can operate even at small flow rates with high pressure. It works on submersible pump logic.
Submersible Pump: It is in the wet chamber pumps group. Submersible pumps are integrated pumps with special insulation as they are suitable for operation in mud mixture.
