Filter PressesAs its name suggests, it is a discontinuous process equipment that works with filtering logic. With its plates and filter cloths, it compresses the waste sludge with pressurized pumps and separates the water and sludge in it. Although it is known as the sludge dewatering (clarifying) mechanism in wastewater treatment plants, it is also used as solid-liquid separation equipment in many industrial processes. It has a higher dewatering rate than its counterparts.

How does it work?

Filter Thanks to the filter cloths placed on the plates, the waste sludge is compressed under high pressure between these plates and excess water is removed from the filters. For higher dewatering, the density of the sludge is increased by adding cationic polymer. filter pressesAccording to the operating characteristics of the plates, they are divided into 3 groups: automatic, semi-automatic and manual. In automatic filter presses, plate transportation and sludge cake discharge are done automatically from the electrical panel, while in manual filter presses, an operator is required for all these.
